Press T and a title card lands at the playhead. Type the words, pick a font and a reveal, and the card animates in by line, word or letter. The next card you add starts with the same look.

## How it works

1. **Press T.** A 3-second card lands on the Clips lane at the playhead, selected and ready to type into. Clip › Insert Title and Add › Title do the same.
2. **Write and style it.** Type the words, then set the font, weight, alignment, colour and size. Spacing and a shadow are under More.
3. **Choose how it arrives.** Pick a Reveal and whether it comes in all at once or by line, word or letter. Set Exit to Reverse to play it backwards on the way out.

## What you can change

- **Font:** Default, Rounded, Serif or Mono, in seven weights from Light to Black.
- **Size:** From 2 % to 40 % of the frame's height, shown in pixels.
- **Reveal:** Fade, Slide Up, Slide Down, Slide Left, Slide Right, Rise, Focus, Pop or Type, or None.
- **By:** All, Line, Word or Letter.

- **On screen:** From 0.5 to 30 seconds, or drag the card's edge for longer.

## Questions

### Can a title sit over my recording?

No. A title card is a clip of its own, between recordings. For words over the picture, add a Text mark with [annotations](https://lumae.app/features/annotations).

### Will my chapter cards match?

Yes. Each new card copies the last title's look, so only the words start over.

### Can I animate it out?

Yes. Set Exit to Reverse and the reveal plays backwards before the card ends, or give the clip a Fade out.

### Can I use my own font?

No. Titles use the four macOS system designs, so a project looks the same on every Mac.
